Cindy Kaye Richard’s Post is with Gail Solomon
Last Tue a group of us went to Kibbutz Hatzerim to present the members of Kibbutz Beeri with 300 quilts—enough for each family from the kibbutz. It was very moving as each person stepped up to choose the quilt that most spoke to them.
They were very touched and thankful that the project was done on their behalf. Some told us a little of their own stories. They all wanted to know the history of this project. There was a lot of hugging and some tears as well. The quilts were accepted as an expression of support and global solidarity. We thank everyone who contributed to this cause, which was so heartwarming and accepted with love and gratitude.
